In the past I was homeless down South for 18 months living in old buildings or sofa surfing.
For me it was my lifestyle of drug abuse, I never paid bills so I got evicted from everywhere.
It's scary when you're sleeping rough, you have to be
alert all the time, you don't get proper rest, you're always on guard.
Now I just live a peacful life with my son.
I hope to see a homeless hostel in Halifax before I die,
with communities working together to help them, no
matter what colour or creed."
